As the growing service industry and in the need of more IT
people like developers, programmers, architects, coders. It is the time to
redefine the working people as blue collar jobs, as they are the one who do work
from home,
People think of great achievement when they hear about work
from home, but the real meaning of remote jobs or work from home is like being
working 24*7. If a company gives you a notebook or a laptop, that always means
you are working for them as they desire.
DEFINITION OF COLLAR JOBS:

BLUE COLLAR JOBS
DEFINES IN 20TH CENTURY AS— The terms "blue collar" is
occupational classifications that distinguish workers who perform manual labor
from workers who perform professional jobs. Historically, blue-collar workers
wore uniforms, usually blue, and worked in trade occupations.
WHITE COLLAR JOBS-- White-collar
workers usually perform job duties in an office setting. They are highly
skilled and formally trained professionals. Many white-collar workers, such as
accountants, bankers, attorneys and real estate agents, provide professional
services to clients. Other white-collar workers, such as engineers and architects, provide services to businesses,
corporations and government agencies.
PINK COLLAR JOBS--
In the United States, a pink-collar worker performs jobs in the service
industry. Pink-collar occupations tend to be personal-service-oriented worker
working in retail, nursing, and teaching (depending on the level), are part of
the service sector, and are among the most common occupations in the United
States.
SO NOW WE KNOW THE
DEFINATION OF COLLAR JOBS.
It’s the point to convey the differentiation of jobs now
become so popular that all the engineer
(coders, programmers, developers) started thinking them as white collared worker, as the industries
and writer told about the specification and qualification under all the
categories.
Now we came in 21st century and it allows us of “Thinking Out of the Box”. So here is my
point to be pondered as the IT people are the new blue collar worker as the new
evolution OF INDUSTRIES.
WHY?
POINTS TO BE FOCUSED ON: -
1) Anybody Without Engineering Degree
or True Engineering Knowledge Can Be a Developer with Just One Online Learning and
One Certification, Companies Will Hire Them as Well Because They Really Are
Worth Hiring.
2) All the IT people has privilege to
work from home, but its company’s strategy to have to availability of employee
24*7, which is 3 times a blue collar people do spend time at shop floor.
3) Not paid for the job extra done,
because all the jobs are project based. Blue collar people are being paid for
extra hours.
4) No job security again as the
project ends all of the team would be in bench if the company do not have
enough projects, so they only hire on contract 6+months, if projects extends
then it’s okay otherwise you have to search for a job very next day.
5) Coder and programmer are the key
people to run an IT company but those geeks are not being paid or patented their
work because they are on contract with some company and they have to let it go and
same as blue collar workers.
6) knowledge of an IT guy can be very
vast, but they are stick to their daily work of which exhaust them, same as a
blue collar worker go through after manual work.
“I would say "try to fetch your talent
out of you in a manner so they are not being judged as “techie, or geeks” go up
to your limits, don’t stick to your daily routine of Linux, Ubuntu or
information system. You are more than a blue collar worker, try to stand out of
the line”
